Executive Summary
In 2018 Ohio County residents passed a bond for $42,000,000 to improve and enhance buildings across Ohio County. With an additional $27,000,000 from the SBA, $6,300,000 in energy savings contracts and $14,615,490 in other funding sources, Ohio County Schools has made (plans to make) significant improvements across all 13 schools. Please note there was another approximately $15 million worth of work performed by CMTA Energy. These numbers were not calculated into the information below. Some of their work is still to come with the projects that are ongoing now.

Renovations to Triadelphia Middle Schools were funded with SBA funds for the first round from the SBA. $9M came from the SBA and the remaining amount from OCS. Enhancements made to the building include but not limited to additional HVAC unit replacements at TMS in order to provide better air quality throughout the building. A total Sprinkler system for the original TMS building was added to the project. Parking spots were added between Steenrod and TMS. Sanitary and Storm Lines were also separated. |

Bethlehem project is completing all new exterior window upgrades, new fire alarm system, replacing the oldest section of the roof, new soffit for the entrance canopy with upgraded lighting, replaced the fencing and created additional parking spots, painting, flooring, and mechanical work. |

This project is funded by SBA, OCS Bond Issue and ESSERF. Warwood project was able to take advantage of the ESSERF funding that came through for Ohio County Schools. This amount is being utilized to replace the existing HVAC System and exterior windows at Warwood. The project was able to keep a high-level HVAC system in the project and complete the entire building HVAC System Replacement. |

This project is funded by SBA, OCS Bond Issue and ESSERF. Woodsdale project is able to utilize ESSERF funding for the HVAC system upgrade at Woodsdale. The remaining portion of the building will be funded through the SBA/OCS funds. This includes a complete renovation of the academic wing of the building, new exterior windows, hardware, fire alarm system, cafeteria addition and an addition for the main entrance to create a “man trap”. |
